Therapeutic Art Sessions
This piece is called Joyus, just like the emotion we share in a Therapeutic Art Session
What Is Therapeutic Art?
Sometimes words alone aren't enough to feel connected with your inner self.
At those times, you may experience lower levels of creativeity, clarity and calm. When that happens, Therapeutic Art offers you a nonclinical pathway to stress relief, self-expression, creative renewal around personal goals, and feelings of well-being, through the use of simple art materials in a safe, relaxing setting.
When you're ready to book your first session, please be assured—Therapeutic Art is not about creating "good" art. It's about self-expression, inner reflection, and self-discovery.
Therapeutic Art Sessions
As a trained Therapeutic Art Practitioner my role is to gently guide you in exploring your thoughts and feelings around your present goals for personal growth and life balance.
In our safe, relaxing studio, you will be provided with inspiring prompts, a variety of art materials, and encouragement to experiment with easy techniques.
No artistic skill or experience is required—only a willingness to be present with yourself.
What to Expect
Each session is thoughtfully guided and adapted to your individual needs. You’ll be supported in a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space.
Sessions may include:
- Mindful artmaking practices to calm the nervous system
- Guided creative prompts
- Encouragement to explore art materials
- Support in uncovering your insights
- Opportunity to reflect and share
- Come away with meaningful artwork that supports your goals
You are always in control of your experience, and participation is guided at your own pace.
Who It’s For
Therapeutic art sessions can be supportive if you are:
- Feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or emotionally stuck
- Navigating life transitions or personal challenges
- Seeking deeper self-awareness and clarity
- Looking for a creative and reflective practice
- Wanting a calm, restorative space just for yourself
A Supportive Non-Clinical Approach
These sessions are grounded in therapeutic principles, but they are not psychotherapy or a replacement for clinical mental health care.
Instead, they offer a complementary, holistic approach to general well-being—one that honours creativity as a powerful tool for self-connection and personal growth.
If uncomfortable past issues arise, we’ll gently pause our session to refocus on relaxation and wellness goals in your present day life. Contact info for Registered Therapists will be available.
